Re:Find Distillery, located in Paso Robles, California, uses a non-hopped wort sourced in collaboration with local craft brewers that comes from a mash bill of:
– Rye
– Wheat
– Barley
The whiskey then goes into new 10 gallon American white oak barrels that have been charred at the No. 3 level. The whiskey ages in the barrels for anywhere from 12 to 36 months before it’s blended and bottled.
Re:Find Distillery sent us these barrels after they were freshly emptied. Their small format size of the barrels makes them ideal for homebrewers or any beverage maker looking to barrel-age a smaller project.
