Description
These barrels come to us from Skinny Sticks Maple Syrup, where they were used to age traditional Wisconsin syrup for several months. Before that, they aged bourbon by several well-known Kentucky distilleries, including Heaven Hill, Buffalo Trace and Willett Distillery. They will add a unique flavor to whatever beer, cider, wine or other beverage aged in them next.
Important notes: Maple syrup sucks the moisture out of the barrel wood during the aging process. Because of this, we always recommend swelling a maple syrup barrel before filling it with a beverage.
