Description
Freshly emptied Laird’s Apple Brandy Barrels were first used to age bourbon before they were sent to the New Jersey distillery for aging 100% straight apple brandy for a variety of aging lengths.
The barrels are bursting with apple, pear, cedar and oak aromas from the brandy they aged. They are a premium option for a brandy barrel-aged brew.
Originally founded in 1717 – although the distillery’s family ownership traces its American distilling roots back to 1698 – Laird & Company is America’s oldest. Known for its applejack and apple brandy, the distillery’s barrels are sure to please any barrel wrangler looking to work with apple and complex wood flavors for a barrel-aged beer, cider, mead or wine.
