Description
These small format, 15 gallon barrels were made in Minnesota and last used by Far North Spirits, out of Hallock, Minnesota, to age its Bourbon Whiskey for 18 months. They came to us straight from the distillery after being freshly dumped and used only once.
Tasting notes for this bourbon include aromas of toffee, sweet corn and orange zest, along with peppery and vegetal flavors that lead to a long, rich finish with notes of bitter chocolate and brown sugar.
Mash bill:
– 60% Heirloom corn
– 30% Hazlet rye
– 10% malted barley
Important notes: These are used barrels. Small imperfections and cracks should be expected. The barrels have been inspected to ensure they are liquid tight. All barrels come with a wood bung. Pictures are general representations of the barrels. Not all barrels will have exact stamps and fill dates.
